We accompanied Craig to a brief conference at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, 150 miles or so south of us along the coast. This morning the kids and I went to the beach and the lighthouse. It was briefly fun, and then Laurel (who has a cold) got tired and whiny and I had to carry her.
I had forgotten just how un-relaxing a vacation with an uncooperative toddler can be. This is the first time Laurel has come to this conference, although we brought Isaac along at 17 months (in
2007) and at two and a half (in
2008).
